Alan Bennett is a member of both our Small Business and Corporate Client Service Teams. He specializes in commercial law and concentrates his practice in contracts, warranties, bankruptcy, and litigation matters.

Alan is a past chairperson and director of the West Michigan Environmental Action Council and is current director of the Grand Rapids Historical Society and of West Michigan Legal Services. He serves on the Panel of Neutrals of the American Arbitration Association. He is a Federal District Court mediator. Alan is also a past president of the firm.

Alan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and his law degree from the University of Michigan. Alan is an active member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association. He is a former trustee and has also served on various committees, including the Judicial Candidate Review and Diversity committees. He is currently a member of the Environment, Energy and Resources and Business Law sections of the American Bar Association and the Environmental and Business Law sections of the State Bar of Michigan.
