Tony Gauthier is a member of our Personal Services Practice Group. He focuses in family law with a strong arbitration and mediation practice. Tony is on the court-approved list of family law mediators in Kent County and certified as a qualified collaborative divorce lawyers by the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan. He is also chair of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

Tony received his Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and law degrees from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining Law, Weathers & Richardson, he taught high school for ten years in Lawrence, Kansas, and then moved to Michigan and served as a law clerk to the late Honorable Douglas W. Hillman, former Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Grand Rapids Bar Association (past trustee) and the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. He is past chair of the Grand Rapids Bar Association's Family Law Section.
