Les specializes in litigation, and is a member of the litigation practice group. He received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan in 1999 and is a 1992 graduate of Dartmouth College, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Government Studies and was an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Prior to joining Law, Weathers & Richardson, Les worked for large local and international law firms in Chicago, Illinois. He was admitted as a member of the Illinois Bar in 1999, and to the Federal Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in 2001. Les continues to practice law in Illinois, retains his Illinois license and remains a member of those bar associations.

After recently returning to Michigan with his family, Les was admitted as a member of the Michigan bar and to the Federal Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of the State in 2005. Les is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and its Diversity and LRIS Advisory Panel committees, in addition to being a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the ABA and the Illinois State Bar Association. Les is also on the board of directors for the Grand Rapids Historical Society and is a member of the Dartmouth Club of Western Michigan, and the University of Michigan's Alumni Club of Grand Rapids and is a parishioner of St. Stephen's Church.
